Union 6th/7th Grade to host geography bee Wednesday, January 28 The Union 6th/7th Grade Center, 10100 E. 61st Street, will host a geography bee from 2 to 3:50 p.m. Wednesday, January 28. Parents are welcome to attend. “Nearly 40 seventh grade students will compete in the National Geographic School Bee at our school,” said Jordan Graves, 7th Grade Geography Department Head. “The winner will compete at the state level and have a chance to travel to Washington, D.C., to compete against winners from every part of the country. The national winner will be awarded college scholarship funds, a lifetime membership to the National Geographic Society, and a trip to the Galapagos Islands. We welcome all parents to attend this wonderful event located in the Union 6th/7th Grade Center cafeteria.”
