United Express flight diverted to Phoenix after bomb threat PHOENIX, Oct. 31 (UPI) -- A United Express flight from San Francisco to San Antonio made an emergency stop in Phoenix Thursday due to a bomb threat, a Sky Harbor airport official said. United Express Flight 5573, operated by Skywest Airlines, was diverted to Phoenix and landed at 4:45 p.m., airport spokeswoman Julie Rodriguez told KPNX-TV, Phoenix. The flights 25 to 30 passengers were escorted from the aircraft, and a bomb squad was on the scene to conduct a sweep of the plane and search luggage, the TV station said.
