United States Air Force Staff Sergeant Josh Hale has been deployed in Saudia Arabia and away from his family since August 2013. He saw his son, Krystian Hale, a kindergarten student at Stoneville Elementary, in school for the first time at a surprise celebration. Stoneville Elementary honored this special occasion on May 15 by holding a Military Appreciation Assembly. Five students, including Krystian, representing the 5 military branches were asked to lead the Pledge of Allegiance. One more guest, Staff Sergeant Hale, was asked to assist the students in leading the Pledge. As Krystian was excited and proud to help lead the Pledge, he got the surprise of his life to see his dad was home!
