United States Constitution Article 1 Section 8 The CONGRESS shall - TopicsExpress

United States Constitution Article 1 Section 8 The CONGRESS shall have the power to define and punish Offenses against the Law of Nations. Clearly states this falls (the proposed bombing of Syria) under the purview of Congress and NOT the President! Only CONGRESS can declare war, NOT the President. The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff is on record stating that a bombing attack on Syria would constitute an act of WAR. If this idiocy is executed, and the President bombs without the consent of Congress he will have committed an impeachable offense. So when John Kerry says the President needs no Congressional consent, it is just manure from his hypocritical lips. What do you think?
