United Way of Summit County’s 10th annual Docs Who Rock physician talent show will be Saturday, Oct. 19, 7 p.m. at E.J. Thomas Hall on the campus of the University of Akron. This year’s show promises to be the best one yet. Dr. Terry Gordon’s performances will remain a closely-guarded secret until the night of show, but he’s sure to pull out all the stops for the 10th anniversary. Other acts performing this year are Big Adventure featuring Dr. Andrew McIntosh, CCC Cafe Band featuring Dr. Richard Brower, The Chrome Brothers featuring Dr. Timothy Lee, Code Blues featuring Dr. Debbie Plate and Dr. Paul LeCat, Collideascope featuring Dr. Rob Hermanowski, The Loose Tooth Band featuring Dr. Brad Crombie, Malunion featuring Dr. Michael Magoline, and The Rhythm Method featuring Dr. Tom Javorsky, Dr. Joe Pietrolungo and Dr. Fred Slezak. Local musician Hal Walker will also be part of Docs Who Rock this year. The audience will be given a special gift, and Hal will make everyone in attendance part of the show. Docs Who Rock is sponsored by the University of Akron.
