United, this past week I took my two toddlers on their very first - TopicsExpress

United, this past week I took my two toddlers on their very first plane ride. While I was hoping that theyd enjoy their experience, their first experience was very much disappointing. This was also my first time flying United. First, the plane was late arriving to Chicago Ohare airport, which subsequently made us late in arriving to Austin by approximately 1/2 hour. Second, the wifi did not work at all. This was frustrating as I had hoped to use movies to keep my toddlers at ease and occupied in iPads. Third, the flight attendants were not very friendly. Ive been in other airlines and the flight attendants were very friendly and personable. While I understand that we must remain seated when the fasten seatbelt sign is on, the flight attendant was kind of rude when I told her that my 5 year old had to use the restroom or else he would have urinated on himself. Fourth, I was surprised that there was no priority boarding for passengers with babies and small toddlers. Most airlines have this which is a great convenience to parents. After all, arent children patrons too? Parents pay the fare as well. Other airlines are kind enough to allow small children to board first. I must say that my first experience with United was less than pleasant and impressive. I hope that someone reads this and at least address some of my concerns.
