#UnitedKingdom #Scotland No Exit Polls! Are you looking for - like me - for exit polls (a poll of voters taken immediately after they have exited the polling stations)? Do not. After spending hours looking for exit polls, I found out that it is prohibited by the Scottish Independence Referendum Act 2013. That legislation stipulated: 8(1)No person may publish before the close of the poll- (a)any statement relating to the way in which voters have voted in the referendum where that statement is (or might reasonably be taken to be) based on information given by voters after they have voted, or (b)any forecast as to the result of the referendum which is (or might reasonably be taken to be) based on information so given. (2)If a person acts in contravention of this paragraph the person commits an offence. Therefore...... do not expect any news before 10pm (London Time) or 12am - midnight (East African Standard time).
