[ Unity Shader Semi-Transparent Render issue ] Nice to meet you - TopicsExpress

[ Unity Shader Semi-Transparent Render issue ] Nice to meet you guys= ) Usually, semi-transparent objects in Unity will got some render errors, such as the backfaces of the same object are rendered in front of the front faces near to the camera. Testing through all the shaders available in Unity, it seems that only transparent/Cutout/Soft Edge Unlit works normally. (Surprisingly it works for multi-layers semi-transparent meshes with grey color in Alpha Channel!) So Im wondering, if it is possible to create a shader that can fade in and out naturally, like the mesh effect in this video? vimeo/50971225 Actually I asked the FX artist about his workflow, and he told us that the effect is always facing the camera, so they deleted the backfaces of the effect meshes to fade in and out naturally. Since separating meshes into smaller parts doesnt work for semi-transparent and even multi-layer sleeves, or even more complicated designs, so Id like to find out would it be possible to achieve it. Thanks for accepting me to join this Unity Facebook group!
