Universalism - is it a bad thing? To me, yes it is,as I travel a great deal; I can see its effects in peoples lives, and countries, every country Ive visited, and there have been many, many cultures, which apart from the language, one would find it hard to see the real identity of the place. With the exception of some buildings, and local History,This is a disease, spread by a nation, whose policies are destroying National identity. Nationalistic pride is being eroded by Globalisation, which has been rising on a scale since the Second World War,at an alarming speed, one may wonder why. Monetiarism, the Dollar still rules, why? Other currencies are dwarfed by this global illness; one could say its good for commerce, but to the small states in the heart of Africa or South America, etc. its a financial catastrophe, unfolding on a daily basis. One could only speculate what the future holds; its clear as America is losing its grip on global events that its financial prowess will also fail. Europe, too, is in some early death throes, with Nationialism rearing its ugly head in many Nations, not all are seeking the good of their own population, but rather that of the other foreign power to sweeten their coffers or political agendas, being weak - they are mere puppets, playing out a game, hoping to come out on top: hope upon vain hope.
