Universitas Gadjah Mada CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS :) One of the most potential region to be a new born power in the world is South-East Asia region, where most of countries in this region are consolidated in ASEAN. Since this region is located in strategic position of trade, rich of natural resources and has so many variety of cultures, ASEAN members will become countries with high income per capita, even more than China. This condition caused by identical of historical background, culture, and great between these countries and had made them synergy for a long time. ASEAN Economic Community 2015 will be the “Peak of Freedom” for ASEAN countries where globalization not only takes a part in politics, economics and socio-culture, but also give high influence on science and technology in the future. Students as the agent of change must take their role in ASEAN Economic Community to ensure the certainty of progress in their country. In order to reach that goal, this conference will be held for discussing the recent issues of science and technology in ASEAN countries and make a forum for ASEAN science and technology students called ASEAN Students Organization of Science and Technology Network (ASOSTyN). Call for Participant ! Inviting ASEAN Science and Technology Student Delegates to participate in ASOSTyN establishment forum under the theme Major Role of Science and Technology Towards ASEAN Economics Community 2015. Participants Requirements : 1. Each delegates consist of 3 (three) undergraduate students from same university 2. Registered as student from university in ASEAN region (proved by Student Card) 3. Active in Student Union of other Organization (Student Council or Unions preferable) 4. Write 2 pages of essay contain the following topics : a). Latest local science and technological issues that faced by ASEAN member country. b) Science and technology student’s role for science and technology development towards ASEAN Economic Community 2014 Methods : 1. Focus Group Discussion 2. General Assembly 3. Essay Presentation Registration fee : - For Foreign Delegates : IDR 1.500.000 (USD 120) per delegates - For Domestic Delegates : IDR 900.000 (USD 75) per delegates Venue : - Focus Group Discussion and General Assembly will be held in Wisma Gadjah Mada, Kaliurang, Yogyakarta - Essay Presentation and International Seminar from Keynote Speakers will be held in Room Auditorium A1.06-07 Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada.
