University Ave. reconstruction moves forward, in steps... University Avenue Reconstruction Project The City of Cedar Falls has entered into a contract with Foth Infrastructure and Environment, LLC to provide professional engineering services for the design of the University Avenue Reconstruction Project. The project received final environmental clearance and the Iowa DOT transferred the University Avenue jurisdiction to the City of Cedar Falls on August 1, 2014. The City will work with Foth to develop the final details for the corridor. Public involvement events are scheduled over the next nine months and include meetings with individual businesses and property owners adjacent to the corridor and two public information meetings. These events will provide the public the opportunity for input and to ask questions about the specific details of the project. In addition, a project website is under development and will be launched soon to keep the public informed with the latest news, information and events related to the University Avenue Reconstruction Project. Additional information about the project website and upcoming events will be released at a later date.
