University of Karachi Entry Tests for admission for the next academic year 2014 will be held NED University and other universities and this is the first time that entry test for admission will be held somewhere else instead of Karachi University. The entry tests will be taken under NTS (National Testing Service) and test will be held on Faculty base instead of Department. Students seeking admission in the fields of arts will have to give test for faculty of Arts, Moreover due National Testing Service the price of admission form has been increased to Rs 500. Price of Test based admission form will be 2000 Rupees and open merit admission price has also increased to Rs 200, Last year it was 800 but now students have to pay Rs 1000. Admission process will be completed in two phases, test based forms will be available from 11th November and can be submitted by November 21. Dr Khalid Iraqi said in the first phase test admissions will be completed and then open merit. Departments of Pharmacy (Morning / Evening) Admission Test will be taken on 7 December and in NED University and faculty of arts and science Test will be on December 8, but the place is not decided yet and will be announced by NTS. Khalid Iraqi said the overall admission test will be of 90 marks and candidates with 50% marks will be considered successful and 60% marks will be required for Pharmacy .30 marks will be for English, 30 marks will cover General Knowledge and rest of 30 marks will cover the related faculty and department. Admission forms along with the prospectus can be obtained from the UBL Silver Jubilee Gate Booth, Main University Road, Karachi from 11th November to 21st November 2013 on payment of Rs 2000 only.
