Unknown history for today: I had seen this caboose a couple of times before. It resides in the backyard of a local residence in Fayetteville. The house on the property is empty and in bad condition. Appears not to have been lived in for many months or years. The caboose may have been put in for a pool house as it sits next to one. Its plumbed for sewer/water and electricity. The lettering says Frisco however the red peeling paint reveals a green beneath. Im guessing may have been a BN Caboose painted and lettered for the Frisco by a fan. The caboose was manufactured by the Pacific Car and Foundry Company in Renton, Washington. Upon research of the builder I was unable to find any on-line information of cabooses being built however there is of course rail cars which this could have been included. I did not look inside the windows however on my next trip to the area may stop and do that. I did leave a business card in the door jam of the house in hopes that the owner, realty or contacting company will call me. If anyone has any information on this caboose, please share it with us. I did note that the lettering at the bottom of the car beneath the window says Xmas 85. This may be the year it was purchased and set on the property.
