Unlike Sarah Palin and Russia, I can literally see Kansas from my house -- the helipad at KU Medical Center, anyway -- and my granddaughter goes to Catholic school two blocks from the state line, so in my neighborhood we really do say border schmorder to the state line; and I can tell you this with absolute certainty...the first day of the general election in Kansas is October 15th (its an advance voting state) and every Kansan I know is champing at the bit to vote against Brownback, Kobach and Roberts. Those arent voters that can be won over in two weeks. They may not be able to name Paul Davis, Jeanne Schodorffe or Greg Orman -- the respective opponents of the Republicans -- but they know who they are voting against. Thats not a problem even Charles and David can throw enough money at to fix.
