Until a clear cut electoral law is put in place to ensure the matter of transparency on how politicians receive & use funds for their political activities, there will be more of this borrowing from bank issue to fund politics. The question really to ask is that is it ethical for Buhari to borrow money to buy a form for an election whose outcome is not certain? The last time I checked, banks are not in the business of financing unprofitable ventures. So loaning out N27, 000, 000 to Buhari is clearly saying that the bank considers the matter of vying for the number 1 seat in Nigeria as big business which it is going by the way our Presidents have unfettered access to public funds. What happens when Buhari does not win after borrowing such a huge sum of money just for form? Mayhem will then be unleashed by his usually overzealous, erratic & irrational crop of large talakawas followers from the North, not that Im saying he doesnt have a few following of the elite in this mix. When something doesnt sound right, it isnt right. The stench of borrowing N27, 000, 000 for electoral purposes stinks to the high heavens. It is fundamentally wrong & Buhari has inadvertently set himself for more raised eyebrows in the future. Biko, I have a headache! Smh #ISmellARat
