Up Date on Justice: After 4 days of around the clock care Justice seems to have turned a corner last night. After expelling some toxins from her Body (YUCK) late last night she has been up. Her Kidneys are working better and she is Up walking with NO help at all in fact I now have to slow her down. This is a testament to her will to live she has been such a fighter this whole week. Now we need to get her back eating good and going out on some short walks again. I have gotten a few Nasty Emails about Justice like WHY havent you taken her to the Vet. Well I have lost dogs I have taken to Vets I know my Dogs better then anyone and I know her needs I can do a Better Job here at home then they can. The stress it would have caused her would have been the death of her. Sometimes its Better to keep them relaxed and calm and keep the Fluids Going. There is a time to take them to the Vet and this was not one of those times her Life is here with us and she would have given up if she was not home. After 40 years of working with horses and dogs I have a bit of Medical Knowledge to use. I could have taken her to the Vet But they would have done the same thing I have been doing but under stress for her. I have learned over the years that the will to live is much stronger when they are around the ones that love them not scared and lost in a cold noisy Vets office. I will never let one of my dogs Die in fear they will all go with us around them. Right now this is not Justices time. I am sure we are not far off but right now her will to Live is keeping her going. Even unable to walk Justice would make herself get up to go out to Potty. She is one strong girl and will fight tell the end and we will be there fighting with her. But for now She is up and on her feet and going again tail wagging all the way. Its hard to keep a Shepherd down when they know they are Loved.
