Up early, taking care of business of this day...cleaning. When you clean, and I mean clean, you find things that trigger memories and moments of people, places, and things...I ran across some pics and keepsakes from old friends and I thought about those people and their impact and vice versa. I thought about what attributes, qualities, characteristics, beliefs, intentions, and most importantly, ideologies did those people and I have that allowed us to have such a unique and true friendship? Well, @TRUST was the first piece...its imperative.....must be built! Key word (built). Indicating over a period of time from ground up. Then theres honor. I am always honored to be in the presence of my real friends. A sense of pride that comes with having such a true friend. Then theres our similar ideologies around the meaning of friendship that not only formed the bond, but also held it together.... I dont ever expect my friends to think like me or to side with me when I am going through my OWN LIFE MESS, on an individual....level, but we have to share similar ideology around a union, bond, where it involves more than just I or Me. Being able to sustain a strong friendship means checking yourself when singularities of I or Me start poking their noses into your plural situation. Ive been guilty of thinking this way, but most importantly, Ive made myself aware of it. Yes, its true that our lives never stop being individual experiences, but when you put on your friendship face, the individual becomes individuals. These examples: ( What I thinks should happen, or when Me becomes agitated or when I feels like how dare you, when My feels misunderstood, or when I feels above it or like it has better things to do)are all examples of selfish and self centered ways of thinking in a situation that involves people....I try to always think of how I can make my friendships better by being support to my other halves in their individual situations so that both parties are giving their best selves! The uniqueness of my friendships have been simply because Ive accepted my friends (ALL) and they have accepted me and that unique shared energy exchange is not replicated. Im grateful for my friends and Im grateful for my friends allowing me to be a friend.
