Up market lodge in beautiful Tanna-looking forward to next visit” 4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 May 2011 My family and I recently spent three nights in Tanna, ideally to visit the volcano and custom villages. Unfortunately rain hindered our access so our tiime was spent at the lodge. We were lucky enough that it is located next door to a local village and we had the joy of watching them go about their daily life, washing, fishing etc. The lodge is relatively new with good individual bungalows, each with own facilities and most importantly, hot water and electricity. There are a couple of family bungalows as well as a pool. The staff are lovely and always more than happy to help. You do have to note that they are local people and you may need to ask rather than expect but once requested, nothing is too much trouble. Our hosts were kind enough to offer us a complimentary drive to one of the closer and more accessible areas to pass the time in the rain. Food is good with a good selection of wines etc at the bar, an ever improving area. The Lodge does have internet access and reasonable mobile phone reception, quite amazing given its location, although take lots of books to read as no TV. I look forward to our next visit with Stella and her team and hopefully a trip to the volcano.
