Up praying Have loved ones next to every hwy blockaded Have loved ones in the city where this started Have loved ones right here just down from the Boston marched But all are loved ones and so im up praying Am certain I cannot choose one side or other Its not in me to loathe or hate... What I am certain of is anger and rage only ever lead to destruction and deep soulful aches I surely know well what it means to be fired for not putting out for my bosses his desires I surely know what it means to be abandoned because I was someone deemed so different I surely know well what loss of a loved one feels like I surely know well what harassment in the workplace looks and feels like I also know well that its never furthered me one bit To be angry at a race or a gender or anyone from whom I look different In fact anger and rage have only worsened my sense of health Because you cannot feel any peace or hope when you live deep and bitter resentment This is why my hope and prayer right now Is that all of us pause and realize this is a two millennium battle The plight between what is spiritual va material substance The plight between what is and isnt that which causes a worthy life May all of us no matter what gender race or creed Keep pushing ourselves to value what connects us all spiritually If you live near a highway that is blockaded and you are driving to loved ones for your thanksgiving day may you pause and know that your love cannot be blockaded and is needed now more than resentment can ever be And if youre marching and feeling you just must shout out my deep hope for you is that you never lose hope in the Spirit that connects us In a few hours several of us will be driving these highways and our thought needs to embrace our fellow man not anticipate riots and hatred Please yall take total care of your thoughts And stay awake and defend we will love more because of now And we must keep on advocating the one power Spirit #advocatinglove #spontaneous_poeming #ferguson
