Up with coffee... Feeling incredibly disappointed with what the weather gave us... But incredibly proud of myself... Recap:.. First thank you mike my coach ... The fastest swim I ever had... Not sure if it was the thunder and bolts of lightning or my training .. Ha .. They stopped the athletes from entering the 2 nd loop of the swim so I got lucky.,.began the bike in lighting pelting rain and severe thunder... Down into the descent into keen I began to get hypothermic ..which caused my digestive system to a halt... Not allowing me to keep anything in my stomach..,finished the second loop of bike vomiting up any thing I tried to get down... Still pulling out a 6:12 bike .. But that was it had no nutrition to run...in 3rd place in my age group of the bike due to the change in the swim times...and couldnt run... I tried every aid station for the first 13 mikes and vomited even water .. Finally I got some nutrition in and suffered at a snails pace the last loop... So no controlling the elements... I did the best I could ...I was gonna drop out at the bottom of the descent from Keene... I was soo cold and I pulled over and began to cry and then I drew from all of you and all the supportive ,loving caring posts from all of you .. And I knew then no matter what I was gonna finish this... Special thanks to Barbara Flynn Ferrante... For enduring the weather and stress of this .. And Sue Segall-Glass and Michelle Devine... For taking the drive to watch me ... I love you all so much and I hope I made you proud .. No KONA but it was the hardest I have ever dug deep in any of my athletic events... So that I am truly proud of...
