Upananda Brahmachari | New Delhi | 5th August 2013:: While more than 10,000 Pakistani nationals living in India in various refugee camps and benevolent habitations even after expired their visas and seeking long term visa or permanent residency, intruders from Pakistan are getting ration cards, voter cards and other documents from some rackets (consisting of secular maroons, callous admins, irresponsible police and subversive Pak agents) to make their Indian citizenship without any hindrance. Twenty years after the Babri Masjid demolition at Ayodhya triggered migration of Pakistan-based Hindus to India then, over 1000 families of Hindus settled in Punjab continue to live illegally, banking on Indian benevolence for guests. They do not want to go back and are now demanding either citizenship or visa extension. Settled in various parts of Punjab, including Amritsar, Jalandhar and Rajpura, their stay in India is illegal since 2004 when the government stopped granting visa extension to these migrant families. Under the running wheel of Pak persecution upon microscopic minorities there, Hindus have been trying to enter into India in various urgency like pilgrimage, finding old ancestors if any or to offer crematorium ash of the departed relatives to the Ganges at Haridwar. But, only urgency matters for these seekers of asylum in India from Pakistan relate to save their life in India anyway from the brutal torture of Islam, limitless in Pakistan. Pakistani Hindus have often complained of destruction of their religious places, ransom, murder, forced conversions and abduction of girls for forced betrothal to Muslim men. Nobody heard. There were an estimated 25 lakh Hindus living in Pakistan according to the 1998 census which is less than 2.0 per cent of that country’s total population. These numbers obviously went down with the current trend of persecutions on Hindus in Pakistan. And life is not easy now for these migrants in India in the face of fathomless ignorance of the lawmakers in India. These families face difficulties in procuring driving licence or opening bank accounts for lack of any identity. Such Hindu migrants from Pakistan are mainly sheltered in Punjab, Haryana, Rajansthan and Delhi without any right or getting any help from the Indian Govt. Rather, Govt is very much concerned about 5000 Rohingya Muslims from Mynamar, who have started to claim their asylum in Delhi and Hyderabad in India. Once, the government of India had identified 7,635 such Hindu Pakistani nationals in the country in 2011 who have been living here before December 2004. As per a report surfaced earlier, the Govt of India was contemplating these cases for a settlement on individual basis. The numbers of such Hindu migrants have been crossed 10,000 mark now, but Govt has no other planning to care for these Hindu refugees from Pakistan who are living here on the benevolence of some Hindu NGOs, rights groups and some individuals. Now, citizenship cases would be processed on a case-to-case basis considering an affidavit filed before the authority prescribed under rule 38 of the Citizenship Rule, 2009, as renunciation certificate.
