Upcoming Road Cycling and Running Events that will affect local traffic Boulder County Sheriff Officer Nick Goldberger has shared several events that will occur in August and September that will affect area highways and streets. Please be aware of these events and plan your travels with these events in mind. B Strong Cycle Race, Saturday, August 10, 2013 Bicycle riders will start by going up Left Hand Canyon, through Ward and along the Peak to Peak Highway before descending down Colorado Highway 7 into Lyons. Riders will be coming through Lyons between approximately 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Send email here to contact race officials. Buffalo Bicycle Classic Race, Sunday, September 8, 2013 An Aid Station will be located in Sandstone Park for food and bathroom breaks for riders. Riders should be coming through Lyons approximately between 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Cycle 4 Life, Saturday, September 21, 2013 Bicyclists will be coming down from Ward and head through Lyons between approximately 1030 a.m. -1230 p.m. Red Rock Scramble Sunday, October 6, 2013 The Red Rock Scramble 5k and 5M foot race will take place between Lyons High School and Old South St. Vrain Road. Start time, subject to change, is approximately 9:40 a.m.
