Upcoming Tax Deadline - Form 1099-MISC due date of 1/31/14 Were sending out a firendly reminder that a Form 1099-MISC needs to be issued and filed with the IRS for any business expenditures for services (includes rent expense and legal fees) that added up to $600 or more during 2013. The exception is if the service provider is a corporation such as AT&T, PG&E, or Cunningham, Malone & Morton. It is getting so if a Form 1099-MISC was required but not filed that the related business expense deduction could be disallowed. Also other penalties could be assessed. The due date here is 1/31/14.
