Families, students, staff and community members are invited to speak directly with Board members about any question, comment, or concern. Again this year, board members are excited about these opportunities to have informal conversations with the community. The Board of Education is responsible for the care, management, and control of the school district. Board members are elected officials who provide overall guidance and direction for the district, hold school district administrators accountable, set the district budget, and make policies. If you have concerns about a specific student, staff member, or school, please remember to first contact your school principal or supervisor. These are open, informal sessions attended by a minimum of two board members. We take notes and share with our colleagues, and also bring along handouts with information about the district and current efforts.
