Update: A small plane has crashed in an intersection after taking off from Van Nuys Airport, and the aircrafts solo occupant has been killed. The experimental, fixed-wing plane was down near Hayvenhurst Avenue and Vanowen Street, just south of the airport in the San Fernando Valley.
