Update Aimee - Aimee continues stable, but remaining half of mass remains in heart. It could go at any time like the first half, or sit there and behave for a while. Its still the scary elephant in the room. The team is now back to discussing jointly the open heart surgery to remove it. Shed have a lot of risks associated with it, including infection, but if she has another PE from it, and they cant revive her again, she has no chance at all. Shes in a lot of pain, including lung and bone pain, some enlarged nodes, but no temp. They cannot do a lot of scans due to kidneys recovering from arrest, operating at 40-70% now depending on the day, which is great % at 70. So probably something brewing, but not rearing its head yet... There are people dying or very unstable on the MICU floor right now, who keep arresting, with crash team jumping on bed for CPR, etc, so were seeing that, families in hallways gathering, waiting, when I walk her we have to walk through it all. It brings everything all back for Aimee, up to when she had nothing. She talks about being afraid when she was dying, in respiratory arrest unable to breathe, telling them she was dying, and knew it. Swearing at them to get them to listen - LOL. She remembers us there post arrest in MICU. Will be good when moved from this trauma floor and she can continue to mentally recover. For now, Al & I agreed I stay here in NY. Thank God again for the apartment, or I couldnt do it. And thanks again to all of you for your prayers, support. It was not her time.
