Update: An intense squall line, also known as a derecho, has formed in Indiana and will be crossing our region in the per dawn (4-7am time period). Power outs are a strong possibility as this line crosses the region. The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Southern Ohio and Central West Virginia until 6 AM. Remember a storm watch is intended to include areas close to the watch area. Storm precautions that can be taken at this late night hour include moving your car into a garage or under a carport. Moveloose patio furniture inside. Same with trash cans. Since there will be intense lightning with this storm line, stay off the phone and unplug electronic equipment prone to power surges.
