Update: Brett took his first bite of food two days ago...it was a bite of a banana...and a big bite. (Little stinker) Since then, he has had a few bites of yogurt and a few bites of applesauce. This is the first food he has had since April. They are letting him have about an 2 Tbsp./food/day. It is so great seeing him being able to tolerate it. He isnt throwing up as much anymore...only about once or twice/day...and no food in it. Today, he felt horrible...lots of pain. He doesnt have good days and bad days...he has good and bad moments in the day. Today was all bad. They are trying to get his pain meds to a point where they are comfortable with the level of meds. His pulse is high and he spiked another fever earlier. Luckily, it has come down on its own. In the past week, they have removed all but one of his steroids and removed his Cellcept. It looks like we are heading in the right direction. Monday will be his 6th dose of Mesenchymal Stem Cells and after that they are planning on doing an Endoscopy and Colonoscopy to see what the results are up to this point compared to his last one. We are very excited, as a family, that we will all be together for a few days, in a week, as my husband brings our girls for a visit.
