Update: I have completed the first round of chemo and the horrendous side effects are diminishing. I no longer look like a Sleestack (for all those who remember Land of the Lost). My double mastectomy and reconstruction surgery has been done. The expanders were placed and filled with success. I cannot lie - having perky ones at 50 aint so bad ;) I have begun the 30 radiation treatments to ensure that the cancer in the nodes and surrounding area is wiped out. The bonus from radiation is that for one day my left breast is nice and toasty! (I am guessing that it heats up the liquid inside) I will be having less devastating chemo treatments for a year and implant surgery in the future. I want to thank everyone for all their well wishes, prayers, and support. All of you have made this journey a much easier one!!!!!!
