Update July 28, 2014 I apologize for the delay, just wanted to give you all a quick update from Anthonys appointment. His calorie intake was increased and a medication was changed. Since that modification he has gained 3 pounds. His speech therapist referred him for an eye gaze communication system. This is beyond exciting for our boy as it will give us a way to talk with him. His doctors also think he may be able to have his trach removed. This has not yet been set in stone as there are some tests that must be done prior to the removal. His doctors say they see no reason for him to need it any longer because he can breath on his own and that once its removed he should be able to vocalize. Anthony has also been referred for more rehab services, we have to wait and see if he meets the criteria to receive them though. So all in all lots of positive things are happening for our boy. We ask that you all please continue to remember Anthony when you pray. He has came so far, and we are so hopeful for his recovery. Anthony sure is blessed to have so many people praying for him! Hes also very fortunate to have his dad who has fought to get Anthony the help he needs and deserves. Our family thanks you for your love, support, and prayers!
