Update.. Karmen and Jack. Just got off the phone with vet....... Ok where do I start. Karmen is now named Holly by vet staff:). She is only 76 pounds:( she has a couple fatty cysts and there is a lump on her back leg that will need to be addressed BUT she has to get some weight on ... She has chronic dry eye so she will be taking oral antibiotics and given salve for her eyes which she will need the rest if her life. Many if her teeth are cracked from chewing in rocks or medal and she had a couple infected teeth... Her ears are horrible her right ear is oozing puss and blood vet thinks ruptured ear drum but so swollen and painful she cant get a good look. Left side has hematoma from constant infections. Antibiotics and pain meds and cleaning of ears until they get alittle better and she can get a look. HW negative but loaded with every type of worm ....loss of hair ...was covered in fleas .infected skin from flea bites. 2 medicated baths so far. CBC and t4 will be run tomorrow. Jack poor jack I dont even have a pic if him. Hes 86 pounds looks like a Dane mix. Full of ticks fleas and worms. ..Fatty cysts ...dirty ears ..but his mouth is horrible he has abscesses vet has to treat with antibiotics before any teeth can be removed... They are both approx 8-10 years old. Very sweet ... Holly slept so sound after her bath .. Vet said it was like she was finally clean and itch free. Said she seemed like she had given up but shes already coming around ....ok when I do it I do it.... These two are going to cost some major dollars. I have a foster in nj for them to go to. But they need ALOT of vetting before they head to nj I said it before. We werent going to take in any more. Then I received a call about the Great Pyrenees puppies ... I could not let them die....I was personally asked to help and I did.... I got a call about these two poor babies too... Nobody wanted them .... So gentle giants took them on..... The breeder that had the pyr puppies is surrendering the pups mom and a male. They will have to be vetted... And we are spaying and neutering the male and female she is keeping BUT she will not be breeding anymore... And we will be checking..... This is what we do ..... Please share.
