Update Monday-----Well not sure if the word has gotten around to everyone BUT mom had a good report yesterday afternoon. The doctors and nurses were VERY pleased with the progress yesterday. They were able to back off of some of the meds...blood pressure looking lots better and possibly mentioned slowly backing off the vent and see how she reposnses. She did wake up due to they backed off her her pain med for the ventalatior discomfort so as she was coming around she was able to squeeze our hands and wiggle toes and open her eyes. WHAT A FIGTHER she is. They still are not able to tell where this infection/bacteria came from due to they could not get any growth once they did the cultural so they keep treating as normal treatment as that her body will allow. So getting the antibodies in her along with the support of the vent for breathing and the meds for the blood pressure are their goals. She got a good report yesterday and another notch up today. Isnt our God an AWESOME GOD that hears HIS peoples prayers and responds with HIS power. Even though she has a battle ahead the staff is saying this is the right direction to get her where she can KEEP backing off meds and vent so she can get in a room and praying her body will be able to tolerate the low chemo treatment. Her counts on platelets is still low but they are giving them to her as needed to keep counts up. She just is not able to start any form of chemo under the conditions facing in the ICU. How do you EVEN beging to THANK all that has made the calls, text, visits and mainly PRAYERS and continue PRAYERS. I after long debating came back Dublin last night, btw try leaving a love one of family in these conditions and being 2 hrs away, but as the staff stated her rest she is getting and all the attention being directly focused on her in ICU is the best any of us could do. I have been asked how could you leave and knowing her condition and I simply replied FAITH knowing who really is in control. Being optimistic is one of my , and I have few, characteristics. Well on lunch and as I went to get bite to eat IT was amazing how Dublin community, even ones I hardly know, approached me and said your mom is on our prayer list at church and we are praying. WOW!. Just makes all this so much easier JUST KNOWING she is being lifted up and HE is hearing our cries. WHAT a testimony mom will be able to tell the non believers JUST HOW GREAT and POWERFUL her GOD is by being a follower and believer. HE IS AND HAS BEEN and CONTINUES to be in CONTROL. ALL things are possible to those who ask and BELIEVE. We are expecting ANOTHER great report later today and this chain of changes to keep improving daily. Thanks in advance for everything to all.
