Update: Morgan City has also signed a letter of support for the River Restoration project. Trout Unlimited and DWR have applied for a couple of grants. If awarded, this grant money will go toward the design study. We should know more about the grant money as early as April. Next steps and things to think about: We plan to put out an information brochure to the public by the beginning of March. Any community outreach efforts that you can help with at that time will greatly appreciated. Later in the spring we will start planning a river clean-up event for the Henefer - Taggart stretch of the Weber for some time this summer.
