Update: My husband and I stopped by the Feeder Dam Launch around 4:30 PM. Not sure if police or DEC were there today. But a concerned person from Wilton area saw the post and came up to bag the bottles. She bagged 10 big bags and couldnt believe how much more there is. She made a good dent but said my picture doesnt really show how much there really is and it is scattered all over. At least it is pushed back away from the water for now. The bags had to be left because we didnt have room in our vehicles for them. Plus, if the police or DEC do come, they will need something there to investigate, right? I will recheck it again tomorrow or if someone hears something from the DEC please post or message me. They have not called me back, yet. However, with a lot of Hannaford labels and this site just down the road from Hannaford, we are thinking the recycle bags were taken from there. Maybe well never know, but well see what happens. I will call the DEC back tomorrow, if I dont hear and see whats up. If nothing is happening, I may just finish picking the mess up myself. I bought bags and have my rake in the car. Thank you to B. for starting to bag the mess and thank you all for your concern, helpfulness, and support. I am putting the DEC tip phone number in my cell phone so I dont have to wait until the next day to call ever again....Thanks Barb for the number!
