Update: NOON: The man at the centre of the lockdown in Canungra has emerged from his vehicle again and begun to smash it with a wooden pole. He emerged from the vehicle about 11.55am and began violently smashing all sides of the car. Believe to be aged in his mid 30s, the man is refusing to talk to police negotiators. 11AM: AN out of towner who says he has explosives in his maroon Holden Commodore had been causing trouble in Canungra last night, according to police. Canungra has been in lockdown since early this morning with police evacuating residents after the man made threats. Inspector Pat Swindells held a press conference just before 11am and said the man was questioned over his behaviour and why he was in Canungra last night.
