Update: Police Investigate Home Invasion on Almont Avenue On Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at approximately 1:15 PM Worcester police located and arrested 28-year-old Andrew Perch of Worcester in connection with the Home Invasion that occurred at an Almont Avenue apartment. During the investigation, police were able to identify Mr. Perch as the suspect and link him to the crime. Andrew Perch, 28, of 252 Mower Street, Worcester was charged with Home Invasion and had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Original Press Release On Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at approximately 4:00 AM Worcester police were dispatched to a Almont Avenue apartment for a report of a Home Invasion. There were several people living in the apartment at the time of the incident. The 24-year-old male victim was confronted by the suspect in the doorway of his bedroom. The suspect was wearing dark clothing and a mask. The suspect and victim engaged in a physical altercation. During the altercation, the suspect’s mask fell off. The victim ordered his dog to attack the suspect. The suspect then fled the apartment and was last seen running toward Dartmouth Street. The suspect is described as a White male, possibly in his late 20’s or 30’s, approximately 200-230 pounds, and has long unkempt hair. The victim received minor injuries. Officers observed that the backdoor of the dwelling had been kicked in. The investigation is ongoing.
