Update: She was found safe...:) MOBILE, Ala. - A 17-year-old Davidson High School senior has gone missing. Kathryn Westmark was last seen on Saturday night. According to a Facebook page, she left a note for her family saying she was going to church with a friend and has not been seen since. Mary Westmarks daughter, Kathryn is a straight-A student who wants to join the peace corps. “Shes you know, exceptional, shes hard on herself, she works a lot,” says Mary. Kathryn had just returned from a trip to Allentown, Pennsylvania with her grandparents to look at colleges. Even though shes decided to go to Columbia University, Mary pushed her to fill out scholarship applications to other colleges whose deadlines were coming fast. “She didnt want to, shes already decided she wants to go to Columbia and shes not interested in any other options, but I pulled the mom card and took her keys away, her car keys,” says Mary. Mary thinks it was this pressure on top of all her other responsibilities that drove Kathryn to leave the house Sunday morning. Sunday afternoon, Mary began to worry so she started investigating. “Money had been removed from her checking account, a large amount of money, so then I started to really wonder whats up, whats going on?” Sunday evening the 1985 GMC pickup truck Kathryn was driving was found along I-75 north in Dalton, Georgia. The doors were locked and the license plate was missing. Mary believes Kathryn is headed to her aunts house in Pennsylvania. Mary has setup a facebook page in hopes of getting help. “And ask everyone you know to share, share, share, share. Kathryn, if you see this, I love you, call someone, I want you to come home, well come get you, please, please let someone know you are ok,” says Mary.
