Update: So they are thinking Bacterial Meningitis and Pneumonia. Her temp has spiked to 102.8, and anything over 101 for her is a bad deal. Her heart rate: Her heart is is high, so much so that they wont let he out of bed to go to the bathroom, not that she could walk anyhow mind you...her joints are so horribly inflamed. Resting heart rate is 155bpm. She was in so much pain at about 6:30am that she begged for it to be over. Dilaudid on board now and she is able to rest a little more...but this fever is not a good sign. As for me, Calypso stood me up and so I got about two hours sleep sitting in a chair next to her bed. Epic fail by the staff to make a cot or recliner chair appear. I cannot however leave her when she is this sick, and so where there is a will there is a way... does anyone out there have a portable cot with and mattress so I can catch some zzzs... at this point, the floor is looking like a sleep number bed. (that is not okay) and I am not leaving her... I would even take a simple air mattress to put on the floor. So there is that... please lift her in prayer, share this with friends and ask them to pray as well. As always, the battle goes on. K.
