Update: The groomer said this was the best dog/transformation she had seen. He was a complete gentleman the entire day! He was never muzzled and spent the day with her Lab and Chihuahua. I was told (in private messages) that this guy has been living on the streets of Los Banos where he was teased by children. In response, he chased and growled at them. He may be suited best in a home without children. A big thank you to Noahs Ark Grooming who gave an extreme discount on his grooming and took him at the last minute. Also, we want to thank the kind people who donated!!! #2163, is a male Poodle mix who is approximately 5-7 years old. Today is his first day in impound. I sat on the floor with him and slowly but surely he came and laid his head on my lap and allowed me to pet him. I have no words…. I can only say that the matted fur that holds his body prisoner must weigh at least 7 lbs. As I ran my fingers down his spine, there appears to be at least 4 inches of matted mass that pulls on his skin. (I promise to see that this baby is groomed by this weekend). Thoughts to myself….thoughts to myself….keeping quiet…..biting my tongue. The last day of his 5 day hold is 11/24/14. Call the Los Banos CA Shelter @ 209 827 7089
