Update for Cindy Cox Gibson for Saturday, February 15th - Another wonderful day for my darling Cindy! After sharing breakfast time with me, she had a wonderful speech therapy session. She then had a surprise visit from Amy and Jaeden, two of her students along with their moms, Robyn and Dawn. Robyn and Dawn are the class moms for Cindys third grade class at HMES and brought Cindy dozens of Valentines that her students had made for her. The original plan was to surprise Cindy on Thursday, but of course the weather did not cooperate. Nonetheless, we celebrated a belated Valentines Day, with Amy and Jaeden reading each of the hand made Valentines to Cindy. We then put all the valentines on the walls of Cindys room, and they were the center of attention for Cindys nurses and visitors for the rest of the day. Robyn, Dawn, Amy, and Jaeden also shared several gifts with Cindy as well as bringing boxes of Dunkin Munchkins doughnut holes for the RCP third floor staff taking care of Cindy. Thanks to these wonderful girls and ladies for sharing their love, generosity, and fellowship with Cindy and I! Your visit was the highlight of her day (and mine). Of course, after Cindys sugar level checked out okay, she was able to talk the nurse into allowing her to have one of the doughnut holes for herself. She had several wonderful visitors today, including Farrell, her dad, who drove from Pamplico,SC, to wish her a happy valentines day as well. She, Farrell, and her brother David, then watched the exciting USC-Alabama basketball game. Before Farrell left, he, myself, David and Cindy shared prayers, with Cindy participating for the first time since her stroke. It was wonderful to hear Cindy pray, and know that God was not only listening to her prayers, but answering many of them as well. Praise be to God! Pat
