Update for Cindy Cox Gibson for Saturday, March 8th -Sorry for late post; Most of the day has been spent getting things ready for Cindys homecoming on Thursday. Had a good visit with her this morning and watched her complete yet another Physical Therapy session. She is working on stairs now and doing an outstanding job. Her brother David came later and enjoyed lunch and Speech Therapy with her. Cindy is getting stronger physically, mentally and emotionally every day, but I still want to ask for your prayers. She still has a long road ahead of her, and after her discharge next week, she will have a new set of challenges. Transferring into and out of a vehicle is number one (we are set to practice on Monday) and will be necessary for her travels to out patient therapy. Other tasks will be getting into and out of bed at home (her PT insisted that Cindy use her own bed at home, and not to rent a hospital bed. The logic being that the greater the challenge to Cindy, the sooner Cindy will recover) Cindy is such a motivated patient, I have no doubt that she will do well. Since we are about to spring forward I will say goodnight for now and may God bless.. Pat
