Update from Hank Hogans foster momma: I picked up little Hank - TopicsExpress

Update from Hank Hogans foster momma: I picked up little Hank Hogan from Dr. W’s on July 9th. I don’t think that anyone knows much about Hank’s background because he was rescued from a shelter and wasn’t microchipped. I was told that he had demodex mange over a large portion of his body and that is a very true statement. But bless his heart, even with the demodex mange (which is not contagious and is being treated), he is the happiest little guy and always wants to play – inside or outside. He raises his paw when I play with him, as if he wants to “Hi-five” me. Dr. Whitworth thinks Hank Hogan is somewhere around a year old…. And this is obvious from his playfulness. He also is very curious about everything in my backyard. The first day he was home with me, we went for a late afternoon walk around the backyard and pool. I showed him the pool and splashed some water around so he would know that the pool area was not solid ground and he couldn’t walk out there. Hank gets a bath almost every day with special medicated shampoo from Dr. Whitworth’s clinic, which will help with the process of his hair growing back. He also takes Ivermectin for the demodex mange. I can tell a difference in just the short time I’ve had Hank that his hair is really starting to grow back. Hank loves to play with my Bulldog and with my other small dogs. He’s a very friendly little Bulldog. Whoever adopts little Hank will be very lucky because he is such a good natured and loving little Bulldog. To apply to adopt Hank Hogan, visit dfwbulldogrescue.org/available-bulldogs/hank-hogan/.
