Update from Joshs Mommy: Feeling the pressure of two kids with different, real, and important needs right now. Bay is back home, straightening out paperwork to go on independent studies and had a choir concert tonight. I sent my mommy n daddy to support her, but so sad I missed it. I heard she was beautiful, and sang like an angel. Tomorrow Josh goes into surgery. Hell have permanent grafting to his neck, chin, and other hand. Bay has cheer nationals this weekend. Ill be coming home to support her, and Im thrilled, but my heart aches to be leaving Josh. His daddy will be here with him, but so sad not to be here. Please pray all Joshys grafting and the surgery goes well, and that he recovers quickly so he can be extubated. Please pray for peace in my heart and mind while Im away. The staff are still working to find a happy medium for Josh. He does awesome when hes asleep, but is agitated and uncomfortable the minute he awakens, and starts thrashing around. Please pray that they find the right balance of medication to help him be comfortable, so he does not need to be so heavily sedated. Answered prayers are many. . Yay!!! Joshs fever is managed with just two doses of medication in 24 hours. The bandages are off the center part of his face and with all the swelling down, hes looking beautiful, like the Joshy we know and love. Physical therapy team was in today and he was awake enough to get to sit up and stay up unassisted for maybe five minutes!! Did my heart good to see him with his hands and feet free, and see how strong his little body can be. Love you all, and so super grateful for your love too. Yesterday, a good friend brought dinner for Bay and those taking care of things at home. Thank you, dear friend!! Everyone loved dinner!!!
