Update from Okanogan Sheriff: Downtown Pateros looks better than we originally had thought. Witnesses told us that many of the businesses had burned but it appears, thankfully, that is not the case. Evacuation orders are still in place for Brewster. However, the fire appears to be moving north about 16 miles away from the town. That is good news but the sheriff is keeping the evacuation order as a precaution. We will continue to update you as we get more information.
