Update from Salem State University: Off-Hour Work There is no off-hour work scheduled at this time. Viking Hall Foundation installation continues. Demolition of the public safety building has begun. Once this building is demolished the remaining geopiers will be installed. Geopiers are used to reinforce soils for the support of high bearing pressure spread footings. This is the same process that was used in the construction of the Marsh Hall foundation on Central Campus. Canal Street Parking Lot Work to create the parking lot in the area of the former Mackey Building continues. Demolition of the blue building continues and should take 4 more weeks to complete. Library and Learning Commons Construction and Demolition of the Existing Library Building Final landscaping, grading, and concrete work continues. Grass has been planted and final landscaping finishes are being completed. Fences will remain in place for several weeks to allow for the grass to take root without being disturbed.
