***Update from the Organisers/Selectors*** Hello everyone just thought we would let everyone know a little more about the process that we will be following in the selection weekends leading up to the WA State FS Record on November 3rd this year. On these weekends we will be trying out people in the following areas of their skydiving skills. Exiting the plane Base Outside the Base Diving Floating Docking Flying the formation Tracking Canopy Control On the record jumps we have a 15 way base (5 way star with 10 people docked on this). We can not stress enough, the importance of this 15 way base to the successful build of a new state record. Some stats assuming that we are exiting from 14000ft and tracking off at 6000ft. If the 15 way takes 20 seconds to build then we have 25 seconds for the next 35 people to dock If the 15 way takes 15 seconds to build then we have 30 seconds for the next 35 people to dock If the 15 way takes 10 seconds to build then we have 35 seconds for the next 35 people to dock So you get the gist here We have the majority of the base chosen already but there are a couple of slots possibly up for grabs. As you can see, if you are having thoughts of being in the base then you are going to have to show a high level of skill and be able to consistently build a fast formation. In addition, there are approximately 10 slots that have already been allocated in the rest of the formation. So get as current as you can before and in between the selection weekends and come on out and show us what you’ve got.
