Update from the province concerning the work to be done on the damaged Myra Canyon trestle. Rock scaling activities at Trestle 3 began on May 30, and will run through to mid July. The trail between trestle 2 and trestle 4 will be closed. Also, the off trail area, below the rail grade between trestle 2 and 4 will be closed due to falling rock hazards. For the safety of both the public and the scaling crews, BC Parks asks that people respect these closures. A 1.3 km bypass trail around trestle 3 will be opened in mid July once scaling activities have been completed. Because of the terrain, the trail will be a rougher backcountry trail, suitable for hiking or pushing a bike.
