Update: hawks screaming, owls hooting, squirrels barking, crows cawing, blue jays scolding, a tufted titmouse announcing its presence to the world, two cardinals trying to out sing each other, a red headed woodpecker drumming on a hollow tree sounding like distant machine gun fire, a red cockaded woodpecker screaming just because it can, two wood ducks squealing overhead, a dozen geese trumpeting as they fly over and hundreds of blackbirds chattering everywhere while eating acorns in the trees, making it sound like it was raining. Youd think itd be quiet out here behind the house while sitting in a deer stand, but actually its a dull roar most of the time. The only quiet things I saw were a cottontail hopping by, a momma doe with two little ones and an owl parked on a limb two trees over, scoping me out while constantly tilting his head trying to figure me out. I did not see any bucks sneaking around.
