Update in Kole: We had hoped to be coming home today, but we have had a change of plans. After running fever the majority of the afternoon yesterday, the pediatrician ran a series of labs and found his WBC count to be elevated. She started him on another antibiotic, and we are currently awaiting the results of the blood cultures. Depending upon what the blood cultures show, will determine the next treatment route we take.... If they are negative we will at least have to stay 3 more days for IV rocephin... If they are positive, we will have a new PICC line inserted and come home on 10 days of IV antibiotics. Kole is still being such a trooper, but he is definitely ready to see home. Thank you everyone for the continued thoughts and prayers... We would not have been able to make it this far without all of your support. Everything will come in Gods time and we have faith in that. God is so good and he has blessed us continuously, and we give him our ultimate thanks! We love each of you dearly!! ❤️
