Update: neonatologist just came in room and stated that because Harpers oxygen needs increased so much over nigot he done another chest xray this morning which showed a pneumothorax, he needle aspirated the air out of his chest cavity twice until xray showed no remaining air and lung was inflating again. He said within the next four hours they will take another x ray and see if his oxygen needs decrease and if the aspiration doesnt hold he will be given a chest tube or placed on vent, but we are hoping this solved the problem and his o2 levels will increase and no further treatment will be needed! Will keep you updated as we are. Please send prayers for Harpers health and for mommy and daddys strength to get through all of this!
